Vegan in Hawaii Part 3

October 4, 2011 By RG @ Astig Vegan

Last day of our trip, I decided to check out Legend Vegetarian Dim Sum one more time. I called ahead of time and found out they were open! Woohoo! Btw, Chris and I went to North Shore first to check out North Shore’s Rainforest Preservation Spot, which was also open! Yay for not giving up.

Legend Vegetarian is a legit dim sum place, complete with dim sum carts and all!

Closed on our first visit, but we didn’t give up trying! We went back on the last day of our trip & found it open =)

After lunch, we went jet skiing (my first time!). Then we headed back to our hotel to make sure everything’s packed and ready to bring to the airport. Amazingly, we still had some time left before our shuttle arrives to pick us up.  For dinner, we walked to a nearby Thai Restaurant, Siam Square. Here’s an advice: if you find yourself hungry in a place you’re not sure where to eat vegan, look no further than a Thai restaurant, they will always have something. We ordered the Thai fried tofu and Tom Kha Soup, also brown and white rice. Sarap!

Looking back, I consider myself lucky to celebrate my birthday in Hawaii, and even luckier to discover its wonderful vegan food I had never thought existed. I hope that through this blog, other vegans will have an idea where to eat and not shy away from such beautiful island that has so much to offer to the world.

Mahalo Hawaii!
